7 weeks to Belgium!

 Happy Easter! 🐣🐇🌷

We are now 7 weeks until our move to Belgium.

This past week has been filled with just the right amount accomplished. Most importantly, we now know where John will be going to college. He has decided on UCCS, and we are very excited for him and all he has to look forward to!

I've been baking and cooking, trying to use up food in the house since we can't take it with us. It's strange going to the grocery store for something and not buying in bulk or the biggest size. I am trying to get only what we need to get by until we leave.

The weather has been warming up here, and I've been more motivated to exercise. I would really like to get some exercise equipment for the new house, depending on how much room we have.  Speaking of our new house, I've been asked about where we will be living in Belgium. We won't know until we get there, sign in, and see what's available. I have a wish list of 3+ bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (or at least 2 toilets), a fenced-in yard for the dogs, assigned parking, and walking distance to shops and food. It sounds simple enough, right?

I was feeling the stress of not having movers assigned and had Arturo reach out to TMO again. They gave him two email addresses to try. After emailing them multiple times during the week without a response, I went a different route. I called the movers I wanted to use and asked them to grab our order in the system. They were more than happy to do so, but they couldn't find us in the system. I asked if it was because it was too far out, and they said absolutely not and that they were taking moves in August. After finding all this out, Arturo called TMO back, and they finally told him "the deal". The military has been changing how moves are handled, and new rates are coming out on the 21st, Monday. This is what they have been holding back, submitting move tickets for. That being said, we will get our movers assigned this week. 🙏

I've been gathering items we won't be able to take with us, and we will have a garage sale next weekend. We should be able to sell everything except the washer and dryer, which we will need to keep until right before we move. Once we move into the hotel the first week in June, they will have a washer and dryer we can use, and we won't need ours any longer, and I can sell ours quickly, I hope!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. Until next week....Bye!!!!
