We are in the single digits now, with just 9 weeks before our big move!
Still no assigned movers, but other than that, things are going smoothly! It was Spring Break, and while we normally would go and do something fun, we had too much to accomplish before moving.
This week, we drove to Seattle Children's Hospital to have one final leg made for Liam. I'm not sure how long it will take us to get our insurance switched over and get a doctor's appointment in Belgium, so we wanted to make sure his prosthetic was good for a while. We will go back in three weeks for his "check socket" and then hopefully a few weeks after that, it will be finished and ready!
Our car was shipped this week as well. We sent in all the needed paperwork ahead of time to expedite things. It took about 45 minutes total for them to inspect the car outside and inside, marking any and all dings, scratches, imperfections with the brightest light. We were expecting it would be there waiting for us when we arrived in Belgium, as we were initially told 55 days. However, the final paperwork states "no later than June 18th." Since we arrive on the 9th, I'm just going to stay positive that it arrives sooner than that.
The third time was a charm, and Liam's special issuance passport was applied for this week. 😎 As predicted, mine was approved in the two-week timeframe. Passports are processing super quick, it seems!
Arturo had his promotion ceremony as Sergeant! We brought in some Slim Chicken's and a cookie platter for after the ceremony. It was part promotion and part goodbye. Afterwards, we got new military ID cards with the updated rank, which was good because for the past 3 years I've had the most horrible ID photo. Ha!
