3 Weeks to Belgium and 2 weeks until the packers come and we ship off our remaining car. It's getting SO real! 😲
I flew to Colorado this past week to see my newest grandchild and his older sister. I am so in love with them both. 💕
Being there took my mind off the move and everything needing to be done. I flew home today and am back in moving mode. I need to focus, plan, and organize for the movers. I say this because I arrived in Colorado, having left my toiletry bag and my medicines all packed, but not in my suitcase. That was an expensive mistake.
While I was gone, Arturo kept busy. He did more out-processing for work. The outside of the house was power-washed, which is needed for move-out. The washer and dryer we bought just two years ago have been listed for sale, and after going through the closets, more clothes were donated to the thrift store. He also went to Liam's orchestra concert, which Liam told us about with a few hours' notice, in typical teenager fashion.
My oldest daughter and her family live in Germany, and they will be about a 6-hour car ride from us in Belgium. We have already planned a few trips and get-togethers that I look forward to. Having 6 kids, 4 of whom live in different states/countries, I don't get to spend as much time together as I would like. This will be a wonderful opportunity. 😊
Writing this all out with timelines and distance, it makes me a little anxious, truth be told. My plan is to be as prepared as I can be, taking things as they come, one task at a time, to make things manageable and as stress-free as possible.
