5 Weeks to Belgium!

One month from today, all of our belongings will be out of our house, crated and ready to ship! The house will be empty, and we will be in the hotel. Knowing that it's so close to all this happening is starting to make me nervous. Mainly because I like to be in charge of things, and soon there will be a lot of things not in my control.

This week, we not only secured our movers but also the company we wanted, which I was thrilled about.  They are scheduled to pack our items on June 2nd and 3rd and take everything on the 4th. Having everything set helps me focus on other tasks that need to be done.

We also have everything signed and arranged for Arturo's car to be shipped on June 2nd. This will leave us without a car for almost a week, but Arturo and John won't be working, so we can share John's car during that time. We set up our transportation to the airport, knowing that it will be a lot we are bringing. Being military on orders, we are allowed 5 bags each. We are bringing the yellow and black 27-gallon totes. Normally, you are allowed up to 50 lbs, but again, military on orders are allowed 100 lbs. All those totes plus the dogs in their carriers and us and our carry-ons. It's a lot, but manageable.

Our final move prep we accomplished this week was switching from Xfinity cell service to Google Fi. This will allow us to keep our U.S. phone numbers, which is very important to me to keep in touch with my mom. We will also have a Belgian phone number, so it's a win-win to choose this.

I've still got this awful cold that moved down into my chest, but I think it's finally on its way out. I need it gone because next weekend I fly to Colorado to see my daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and newest member of the family born on Monday!

Life is SO good and there is so much to look forward to!!!
