Day 2 of house hunting! Today was a hot day here with temperatures in the upper 80's.🌞Luckily, the first house we saw was at 9:45 am, so the morning was still nice and cool.
This time we went for a home with walkability. It was at the edge of a city, next to the entrance of a walking path into the forest! 🌳
Within a 10–15-minute walk, there were 5 restaurants and 3 grocery stores. Liam loved that it came with an automatic lawnmower, like a Roomba for your yard. It had 2 bathrooms upstairs (1 with a tub and one with a shower), plus another bathroom with a shower in the lower level. Huge closets, too. It was a very nice home. The only negative was the drivetime for Arturo would be almost 45 minutes on some days, which takes up a large chunk of time when he has to come and go 2-3 times a day.
It was an older home, and the rooms were sectioned and very small. Too small for the size of the beds, in the bedrooms, it showed its age, and not in a good historical way. It was a pass for sure on this home.
The rest of the day, while we finished Arturo's in processing, we discussed both the first house from yesterday and the first house from today. We loved the quietness of the first house, but it wasn't in the area we wanted with walkability. We also loved the 3rd house, the walkability and size, but not the distance to Arturo's work.
While we know that waiting could mean losing either home, it doesn't feel right to move forward without that 100% positive feeling. We could end up missing out on 1 or both houses, but we want to see just a few more first. Right now, I have emailed about a few homes and hope to hear back to see them tomorrow. We know our dream home is out there, somewhere!
